The Lebanese Doctors Syndicate in Beirut has secured the doctors' insurance contract for this year without any additional burdens or costs on members, despite most insurance companies raising their prices by 15% to 40%.

Issued by the Lebanese Doctors Syndicate in Beirut, the following statement:
"In light of the difficult economic conditions that Lebanon is going through, and out of the Lebanese Doctors Syndicate in Beirut's keenness to protect the doctor and ensure the continuity of his role as the first line of defense in facing wars, crises, and epidemics, the syndicate was able this year to conclude the doctors' insurance contract without any additional burdens or costs on members, despite most insurance companies raising their prices by rates ranging between 15% and 40%, and the increase in the cost of insurance policies in a number of other syndicates and bodies.
And stemming from his responsibility towards the medical body, the President of the Doctors Syndicate, Professor Elias Shalala, took it upon himself to work on alleviating the living and health burdens placed on the shoulders of the Lebanese doctor, believing that providing health and social protection for doctors constitutes a fundamental national and health duty, especially at this delicate stage that the health sector in Lebanon is going through."
