The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a strong condemnation of the Israeli military escalation against the sisterly Lebanese Republic, criticizing the continuation of aggressive attacks that have manifested in an expanded ground incursion into southern Lebanon.

Egypt emphasized that this serious development constitutes a complete violation of Lebanese sovereignty and a blatant aggression revealing Israel's deliberate intentions to impose a new military reality on the ground. This action represents a grave breach of all international norms, international law principles, and the United Nations Charter.

Furthermore, Egypt firmly rejects any infringement upon Lebanese national territory, reaffirming its support for the unity of the Lebanese state, its national institutions, and the integrity of its lands. Egypt called for an immediate and full Israeli withdrawal from all Lebanese territories and the comprehensive implementation of all provisions of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 without selectivity. This is necessary to enable Lebanese state institutions, foremost among them the Lebanese Army, to exercise exclusive sovereignty over the entire national territory.
