Importers Syndicate Confirms Abundance of Food Supplies in Lebanon with Eid al-Adha
Hani Bohsali, head of the Food Importers Syndicate, confirmed that Lebanese markets contain sufficient quantities of food supplies as Eid al-Adha approaches, noting no shortage in food availability.

Hani Bohsali, head of the Food Importers Syndicate, confirmed that Lebanese markets contain sufficient quantities of food supplies as Eid al-Adha approaches, noting no shortage in food availability.
Bohsali pointed out that the current challenge lies in the ability of Lebanese citizens to access these supplies due to declining purchasing power and rising prices resulting from the global economic crisis and international tensions, particularly the conflict between the United States and Iran and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.
He added that inflation in food prices is not limited to Lebanon alone but includes several countries around the world, citing a report by the Central Administration of Statistics that indicated a slight decline in food prices during April.
Bohsali explained that food importers, during the financial collapse, diversified import sources towards countries with lower costs, which allowed for the provision of good quality goods at more suitable prices for consumers, enabling citizens to substitute some goods with similar ones at lower prices to mitigate the impact of inflation.
In conclusion of his statement, Bohsali extended his congratulations to the Lebanese on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, wishing them health, goodness, and blessings, and that stability and peace prevail in Lebanon and the world, and that wars end so that Lebanese citizens may enjoy a dignified life befitting them.
