Israeli forces launched air raids on Abbasiya and Ramadiya, alongside artillery fire on Jizzine and southern Lebanese border towns.

Lebanon's National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike Tuesday morning on the Hammadiya neighborhood in the town of Abbasiya, located in the Tyre district. Additionally, artillery shelling targeted the outskirts of Qallawiyah in the Bint Jbeil district in southern Lebanon overnight.
In the Jizzine district, the Qatrani area, particularly Joura Khadr and the Qatrani forest, came under Israeli artillery fire.
Further air raids by Israeli aircraft were carried out on the towns of Abbasiya and Ramadiya in the Tyre district of southern Lebanon.
The Wall Street Journal cited an informed source stating that Israel has decided to halt its direct military attacks on Iran's interior.
The same source confirmed that this cessation of operations against Tehran does not extend to the Lebanese front, where Israel plans to continue intensive military operations against Hezbollah strongholds in southern Lebanon without interruption.
The source added that Israel seeks the freedom to keep targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon even after the conflict with Iran concludes. Israel also prefers to maintain pressure on Iran to weaken its industrial capabilities and strain its regime, while recognizing the need for former US President Trump’s approval and American military support to fully resume combat operations.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed that strict measures have been taken to ensure Iran and Hezbollah cannot impose an unbearable new balance of power that would prevent Israel from responding.
The newspaper noted that despite Washington’s desire for calm, Israel’s recent response demonstrated limits to the White House’s ability or willingness to restrain Tel Aviv’s determination to eliminate the Hezbollah militia threat.
