Israeli Army Issues Warning to Lebanese Forces Over Security Zone Incursion

The Israeli army announced that earlier today, forces operating in the security zone in southern Lebanon detected a Lebanese army unit, including an engineering vehicle, advancing approximately 150 meters into the security zone. This movement breached barriers in the eastern Zoutar area, violating understandings between the two sides. Israeli forces at the location fired warning shots into the air without endangering the Lebanese troops, aiming to push them back. The Lebanese unit withdrew without any casualties.

The Israeli military further stated that the area entered by the Lebanese forces is not part of the experimental project. It called on the Lebanese army to continue adhering to the agreements and operate within the agreed zones, noting that any unauthorized crossing without prior coordination could place its forces in danger.
