Kuwaiti Interior Ministry's Security System Development Praised by Lebanese Minister
Lebanese Interior Minister Ahmed Al-Hajjar commended Kuwait's Interior Ministry for its advancements in security operations during his official visit.

During his official visit to Kuwait, Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmed Al-Hajjar toured the General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents as well as the Criminal Security Sector. He was accompanied by Brigadier General Raed Abdullah, Director General of Internal Security Forces; Brigadier General Hassan Shaqir, Director General of Public Security; and Rodina Muraab, Acting Director General of Personal Status, with the presence of Lebanon's ambassador to Kuwait, Ghadi Al-Khoury.
Al-Hajjar began his visit at the General Department of Nationality and Travel Documents, where he reviewed the department's main responsibilities and the operational system in place, noting ongoing developments. He received a briefing on the evolution of the Kuwaiti passport, culminating in the electronic passport equipped with a smart chip, alongside the latest systems and technologies used in issuing travel documents. These adhere to the highest global security standards to ensure maximum accuracy and efficiency.
Following this, Al-Hajjar and his accompanying delegation proceeded to the Criminal Security Sector. There, a meeting was held to discuss cooperation and exchange expertise in security and technical fields related to combating various forms of crime. The meeting included an overview of the operational framework for investigation and intelligence work, emphasizing the use of modern technologies and smart systems to support security efforts. The strategy for combating drug trafficking and countering smuggling and promotion activities was also presented. Participants affirmed the importance of continuing security cooperation and information exchange, which has contributed to thwarting several drug smuggling operations, thereby enhancing community security and safety.
Al-Hajjar praised the technical advancements and the high level of security performance, expressing appreciation for the efforts of Kuwait's Ministry of Interior in developing the security work system.
