Largest Iranian Site Outside Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the Israeli military's control over Lebanese Hezbollah sites on Mount Ali al-Tahir and the demolition of tunnels beneath them as "the destruction of the largest Iranian site outside Iran."

Netanyahu shared, via his account on the platform "X," a video featuring footage from the demolition of Hezbollah tunnels under Mount Ali al-Tahir, commenting: "We destroyed the largest Iranian site outside Iran: the Ali Tahir tunnels in Lebanon. Mission accomplished. Happy year!"

He emphasized that the United States and Israel have achieved "historic progress" together over the past year; Iran and its axis of evil are weaker than ever, while the U.S.-Israeli alliance is stronger than ever.

In another post, he wrote: "I congratulate President Trump on imposing a blockade on Iran's evil regime, and on the economic pressures he is exerting against the greatest source of instability in the world."

He added: "The people of Israel stand alongside the American people and President Trump in confronting terrorist forces. And next year, we will continue working to make the world safer for everyone."

Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir had visited the operational area of Brigade (36) after troops, under the brigade’s command, completed the destruction of Hezbollah tunnels in the Mount Ali al-Tahir region on Friday.

Zamir told his soldiers, as reported in an army statement: "Last night we destroyed the underground terrorist infrastructure at Mount Ali al-Tahir—the main command, control, and combat infrastructure of Hezbollah, established with Iranian support."

He added: "We will defend our towns at any cost, and the IDF stands as a defensive barrier on the front line. Any attack on northern towns or on IDF forces protecting these towns will be met with immediate and strong response—our yellow line remains fully under our control, without any change."
