Civil Defense units extinguished a fire that broke out during oil pipeline cleaning operations in the Nahr al-Bared area and prevented its spread to surrounding areas.
The General Directorate of Civil Defense’s Media and Public Relations Department confirmed in an official statement that its personnel successfully extinguished a fire that erupted during cleaning work on oil pipelines in the Nahr al-Bared region. Civil Defense teams intervened to prevent the flames from spreading beyond the immediate site.
A bulldozer was deployed to assist in containing the blaze by building sand berms around the affected zone, thereby limiting its expansion. Following containment, crews completed full suppression and cooling operations and verified that no re-ignition occurred.
