"Lebanese Kataeb": Qassem's speech is a coup against the state..

The Political Bureau of the Kataeb Party held its regular meeting, chaired by Party Leader MP Sami Gemayel, and discussed the latest developments.

It considered that "President Joseph Aoun's stance expressed the will of the Lebanese people who reject the banned Hezbollah militia monopolizing the imposition of its will on the Lebanese, serving the interests of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and affirms that the roadmap drawn by Lebanon to achieve peace is practically translated in the negotiation path which it started under Arab and international sponsorship."

The Political Bureau called in a statement for "providing all suitable conditions for the efforts to reach their conclusions, which ensure Israeli withdrawal, cessation of aggressions, recovery of prisoners, ending the state of war, deployment of the army, and launching the reconstruction process."

It paused at the words of Hezbollah Secretary General Naim Qassem, considering that it "constitutes a continuous coup against the state and its institutions and a clear attempt to impose its will by force of arms which the Lebanese government declared forbidden, and affirms that it is unacceptable for the confiscation of national decision-making to continue and for Lebanon's fate to be tied to Iran's conditions and calculations in its negotiations with the United States, while the Lebanese alone pay the price for this hostage situation."

The Political Bureau reiterated "the affirmation that there is no salvation for Lebanon except through the full implementation of international resolutions, especially Resolutions 1559 and 1701, and confining arms to the state, after facts have proven beyond doubt that the militia's weapon has never protected Lebanon, but rather dragged it into destruction, opened the doors to wars, and reproduced occupation."

It noted that "the Political Bureau looks with suspicion at the shifting security events, and calls on the Lebanese Army and security forces to be strict in enforcing security and pursuing violators, showing no leniency with them, and holding accountable any transgression of authority by anyone, and in the same context, calls for striking anything that harms stability with an iron fist."

The Political Bureau warned the government of "the dangers threatening economic and social security, and calls for preventing the exploitation of living conditions to destabilize internal stability, which necessitates immediate steps, foremost among them strict price monitoring. While affirming that any real launch of economic activity remains linked to ending the war and addressing its repercussions."
