Minister of Education: Registration Opens for Afternoon Shifts in Accredited Public Schools for Non-Lebanese Students

Minister of Education and Higher Education Reema Karami issued Decision No. 1312/M/2026 dated 25/9/2026, regarding the commencement of registration for afternoon shifts.

The decision stated: "The Minister of Education and Higher Education, based on Decree No. (53) dated 8/2/2025 (Formation of the Government),

based on Decree No. (2869) dated 16/12/1959 (Organization of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education),

based on Decree No. (2089) dated 18/10/1971 (Determination of Actual Teaching Days and its Amendments), particularly Decree No. 735 dated 22/7/2025,

based on Decision No. 1130/M/2001 dated 10/9/2001 (Internal Regulations for Official Kindergarten and Basic Education Schools),

based on Decision No. 1190/M/2026 dated 31/8/2026 (Start of the 2026/2027 Academic Year),

and after consulting the Director of Primary Education,

and based on the proposal of the Director General of Education, it is decided as follows:

Article One: Registration in accredited official schools for the afternoon shift to teach non-Lebanese students shall begin from the date of issuance of this decision, in accordance with the standards adopted for the previous academic year, noting that decisions regarding the identification of schools and organizational procedures will be issued later.

Article Two: This decision shall be communicated to those concerned and implemented from the date of its issuance."
