Patriarch Al-Rai: We pray for the success of the negotiations

Patriarch Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rai affirmed that "Lebanon needs the light of wisdom, understanding, and the fear of God, and awaits officials who draw inspiration from the Holy Spirit in their decisions and statesmen who safeguard the country's message and role."

Al-Rai said in his Sunday sermon: "We pray for the success of the negotiations, for whoever does good for Lebanon is a partner in its stability, and by its peace many are reassured."

He added: "What we see of chaos and fear for Beirut calls us to a responsible pause because it was built on coexistence, and it must not be left alone without a plan and a present state."
