Patriarch Mar Bechara Peter Rai received Education Minister Rima Karaki to discuss current educational developments and official exams.

Patriarch Mar Bechara Peter Rai welcomed Education Minister Rima Karaki on Thursday morning at the Patriarchal residence in Bkerke. The visit focused on presenting updates related to the ministry and the current situation of official exams. During the meeting, Karaki expressed her gratitude to the Patriarch for his ongoing interest in educational affairs.
Following the meeting, Karaki stated, "I was honored to visit His Beatitude today to thank him for his continuous attention to educational matters and to brief him on the files I am working on and the general status of the ministry. It was also an opportunity to clarify certain points concerning the ministry and its administration, especially amid a campaign that included rumors and distortions of facts. I explained all matters in this regard to His Beatitude."
When asked about the alleged disagreement with Director General Fadi Yarak, Karaki denied all such rumors, affirming that each is fulfilling their role.
Regarding the fate of the official exams, Karaki noted that she visited President Nabih Berri yesterday. She described the current week as pivotal, marked by regional developments that seem to be moving in the right direction. She indicated that a final decision, encompassing all parties and addressing various requests, will be issued at the beginning of next week.
