Speaker Nabih Berri received a delegation from Ain Ebel and nearby villages to discuss local conditions and the activation of Ain Ebel Hospital.

Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri monitored the situation in the border villages, particularly in the town of Ain Ebel and its neighboring villages, during a meeting with Ain Ebel’s Mayor Ayoub Khreish and members of the municipal council. The meeting was attended by the parish priest Father Hanna Simaan and the town’s disaster committee.
The delegation and Berri reviewed the conditions in Ain Ebel and the surrounding border villages across various aspects, especially the health, economic, and living conditions amid the current circumstances.
Following the meeting, Deputy Mayor of Ain Ebel Ayman Barakat stated, "We were honored to visit Speaker Nabih Berri to convey the voice of Ain Ebel and the border villages. We are currently in a sensitive phase; there is neither war nor peace, but our people remain steadfast on their land. This steadfastness requires support from the state because the people can no longer bear the burden alone. We came to deliver the voice of our people in Ain Ebel and the neighboring villages and to request from the Speaker one essential and important matter, which is the Ain Ebel Hospital."
Barakat added, "We asked the Speaker to exert all possible efforts to activate Ain Ebel Hospital, which is a military and Caritas hospital. It is mostly equipped and only awaits the decision to start operations. We came to ask for his assistance to operate the hospital and to ensure the state continues to support our steadfast people, as without state support, continuing to endure is impossible."
In addition, Berri received former Minister Rashid Derbas, during which they discussed the latest political developments. The visit also served as an occasion for Derbas to present Berri with a collection of his works, including his latest poetry book titled 'Exercises on the Sea of Anxiety.'
