Statue of Virgin Mary Vandalized in Sidon District

An unidentified person vandalized the statue of the Virgin Mary and the associated shrine located on the main road in the town of Al-Bramieh, within the Sidon district.

Immediately following the incident, Mayor Shawqi Habib issued directives to identify the perpetrator and to handle the matter with full strictness according to Lebanese law. Subsequently, the municipal police traced evidence and surveillance footage, which led to identifying the suspect. The individual was then referred to the relevant security and judicial authorities for legal accountability, according to the National News Agency.
