Syrian President Denies Plans for Syria's Entry into Lebanon

Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shar dismissed reports suggesting Syria's entry into Lebanon as mere rumors, emphasizing that Syria's approach aims to halt the war in Lebanon rather than expand or become involved in it.

Speaking to a delegation from the Damascus countryside, he clarified that the issue of demarcating the border between Syria and Lebanon is not a current priority, given the presence of more urgent matters. Among these, he highlighted the situation of approximately 1.4 million Syrian refugees in Lebanon and the need to establish an appropriate mechanism to ensure their return.
