Attention turns to Tel Aviv after Gadi Eisenkot was tasked with forming the Israeli government, amid Lebanese anticipation of security developments on the northern border and the reality of the Israeli occupation in southern Lebanon.

In this context, a report by Israeli radio station "Kol Hai" stated that "Eisenkot is planning to withdraw from Lebanon, even before succeeding in forming the government, as he has begun conducting negotiations and arrangements planning for what is known as the 'Day After' on the northern front."

The report noted that Eisenkot is negotiating with foreign parties regarding an Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon.

The political correspondent for the radio station said: "Even before Eisenkot forms a government, he is planning for what will happen next. Perhaps this is why Arab parties support him from outside, because they realize what Eisenkot will offer them in all areas. If a withdrawal from Lebanon occurs, it is merely a prelude to what will happen later, such as withdrawal from Gaza and Syria, and the systematic and deliberate destruction of settlement outposts in the West Bank."
