Two Syrian Children Illegally Obtain Lebanese Citizenship Through Forged Documents
Two Syrian children were registered under a Lebanese relative's name to acquire Lebanese citizenship illegally, leading to arrests following an investigation.

The General Directorate of State Security – Media, Guidance, and Public Relations Department issued a statement regarding ongoing efforts to combat forgery crimes.
According to information obtained by the Northern Regional Directorate, an individual was involved in forging official documents. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the Syrian national (N. B.) registered his two children from his wife under the name of his Lebanese brother-in-law (M. Q.), with the latter's knowledge and consent, intending to enable the children to obtain Lebanese identity cards and citizenship.
The inquiry confirmed that the two children are officially registered under the name of (M. Q.) and possess Lebanese registration records and identity cards.
Following the directive of the acting Public Prosecutor in the North, both (N. B.) and (M. Q.) were arrested and referred to the competent judicial authority.
