UNIFIL Western Sector Commander Reviews Service Conditions in Tyre and Bint Jbeil

Engineer Hassan Dabouk, head of the Municipal Union of Tyre District, received General Andrea Fracherelli, the commander of the Western Sector of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), in the presence of Dr. Ali Shaitou, head of the Municipal Union of Bint Jbeil District.

During the meeting, the municipal union leaders briefed the Western Sector commander on the service and development conditions in the towns and villages of Tyre and Bint Jbeil districts, highlighting the challenges faced by municipalities amid the current circumstances, as well as the main needs and priorities regarding basic services.

The discussion also covered ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the UNIFIL Western Sector and the municipal unions to support local communities and implement projects and services that address citizens' needs and strengthen their resilience.
