What Was Discussed in the Meeting Between Heykal and Finland's Defense Minister?

Lebanese Army Commander General Rudolph Heykal received Finland's Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen, accompanied by a delegation, in his office, discussing the current situation and developments in Lebanon and the region, particularly amid the delicate phase the country is currently experiencing.
The discussion also covered the role of the Lebanese Army, especially in the south, and the missions it carries out to maintain security and stability and confront growing challenges, along with ways to enhance its capabilities and support.
The conversation also addressed the role of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon – UNIFIL, and the importance of its missions carried out in coordination with the Lebanese Army, as well as the post-UNIFIL phase.
During the meeting, General Heykal commended the Finnish unit operating within UNIFIL, appreciating the sacrifices made by its personnel.
