Trump Resumes Campaign in Iowa and Kansas Ahead of Midterm Elections
Donald Trump resumes campaign rallies in Iowa and Kansas, two Republican-leaning farm belt states, as the GOP strives to retain Senate seats just days before the midterm elections.

US President Donald Trump returns today to hold election rallies in Iowa and Kansas, two farm-belt states with Republican leanings, amid intense efforts by the Republican Party to maintain its Senate seats, two days before the midterm elections.
Trump spent Saturday at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida following weeks of campaign events across several states.
He won Iowa by a large margin in 2024, but polls show Democrats are tied with or leading Republicans in many races within the state.
A Reuters/Ipsos poll revealed that Trump's approval rating among Americans in rural areas has dropped to a new low of 45 percent in October.
Kansas, which last elected a Democratic senator in 1932, is witnessing an unexpectedly tight race.
Voters will cast ballots on Tuesday for 35 Senate seats and all 435 House seats. Republicans currently hold narrow majorities in both chambers.
Democrats and many Republicans have described these elections as a referendum on Trump's policies.
Senator Tim Scott, a Republican from South Carolina, told NBC's "Meet the Press," "His agenda is undoubtedly what this vote is about."
Scott, chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, predicted that his party would retain its majority in the Senate.
If Democrats gain control of either the House or the Senate, they could obstruct Trump's legislative agenda during the final two years of his term and launch investigations into his administration. The White House is preparing to implement parts of Trump's agenda without congressional assistance.
