Egyptian Actress Enji Wadhan Unharmed After Car Collision; Chinese Police

Egyptian actress Enji Wadhan was involved in a traffic collision while driving her private vehicle in Giza, Egypt. The incident resulted in damage to the front bumper, front headlight, and left front fender of her car after it was struck by another privately owned vehicle operated by a driver.

According to an official notification received by the Assistant Minister of Interior for Giza Security, the report originated from the Deputy Director of the General Administration of Criminal Investigations in Egypt. Egyptian prosecution authorities have assumed responsibility for investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident and the legal procedures applicable to the case.

The two drivers reached an amicable settlement following the incident. Wadhan opted to file an official police report documenting the vehicle damage exclusively to submit to her insurance company. No criminal charges were filed against the other driver.

In her first public statement after the accident, Wadhan told local Egyptian media outlets: “I have taken all necessary legal steps. Thank God, I am fine and suffered no injury. The incident’s effects were limited to damage to the car. Thank God for everything — what Allah has decreed, He does.”

Guangzhou Knife Attack Investigation Underway

Chinese police detained a 35-year-old man named Li in southern China following a knife assault outside a restaurant. The attack occurred at 5:20 p.m. local time in the Panyu district of Guangzhou, according to an official police statement.

The statement confirmed that several individuals sustained minor injuries. It did not specify the number of victims or identify any potential motive behind the attack.

Online footage of the incident showed the assault taking place inside a shopping center. At least three victims appeared with facial wounds in the released images.

One surveillance video, reportedly captured by a security camera, depicted a masked man stabbing a woman in the face as he passed beside her near a restaurant entrance. Another clip showed police rushing toward the shopping center while pedestrians fled the scene.

Authorities confirmed they are conducting an investigation into the incident.

China has recorded multiple stabbing incidents in recent years. In May of last year, three people—including two Japanese nationals—were injured in a knife attack inside a Shanghai restaurant. In November 2024, a former vocational college student in eastern China killed eight people and wounded 17 others in a knife assault after failing examinations.
