Kim Scott was arrested following a medical emergency involving an alleged suicide attempt, during which she reportedly bit a police officer, according to bodycam footage.

On July 11, law enforcement responded to a 911 call reporting an apparent suicide attempt at the residence of Kim Scott, Eminem’s ex-wife. First responders were informed that Scott was bleeding from her wrist, holding a knife, and had lost consciousness prior to their arrival.
Upon entering the home, officers located Scott in the basement wearing only a bra and underwear. The situation escalated as she became “irate and combative” while authorities tried to detain her and prepare her for hospital transport.
Body camera footage shows Scott yelling profanities as paramedics secured her to a stretcher. She also directed insults at a man inside the house, calling him a “prick” and a “dopehead” while being moved outside. An officer was seen displaying a bite mark on his forearm, which was photographed before he received medical treatment due to the injury and blood exposure.
Authorities stated that Scott resisted arrest by biting one officer and kicking another in the shin. Police reportedly deployed a Taser before arresting her on charges of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
Reports indicate that Scott has a history of mental health challenges, including hospitalization following a suicide attempt in 2021. She also recently faced a suspected DUI charge after missing a court date. Family members reportedly informed dispatchers that Scott had cut her wrist and was still holding the knife before it was removed.
Kim Scott and Eminem, whose birth name is Marshall Mathers, were married in 1999 and divorced in 2001. They briefly remarried in 2006 before ending their marriage again the same year. The couple share a daughter named Hailie.
