King Charles III Ends Debate Over Harry and Meghan’s Royal Duties

King Charles III has resolved public uncertainty regarding whether his younger son, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle, will resume formal royal responsibilities.

According to reports from the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and other UK media outlets published on Monday, the monarch authorized a letter addressed to senior British officials. In it, he reaffirmed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will continue as members of the royal family while remaining unassigned any official royal duties following their return to the United Kingdom.

The letter, as cited in those reports, states: “In short, their position is akin to that of ordinary citizens who have commercial and charitable interests.”

Buckingham Palace did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
