Marwa Nasr Accuses Fahad of Extortion Over Song Payment
Egyptian singer Marwa Nasr accused music distributor Fahad of seizing funds and extorting her after he failed to deliver a agreed-upon song.

Egyptian vocalist Marwa Nasr sparked controversy on social media platforms by accusing music distributor Fahad of misappropriating funds she paid for the production of a joint song. The singer stated that the distributor failed to honor their agreement, details of which she shared in a post on her Instagram account.
Allegations of Financial Misappropriation
Nasr revealed that she transferred a sum of money to Fahad specifically for the execution of the track, but he did not deliver the agreed-upon work. She noted that he continued to stall and offer justifications regarding delays in production before admitting, according to her account, that he had spent the funds received from her.
The singer added that Fahad subsequently demanded a large payment to send her the song after informing her that he had exhausted the initial amount. This development prompted Nasr to publish the details of the dispute online, attaching a screenshot of a conversation she claimed took place between them via a messaging application.
Intervention by Musicians' Syndicate
Nasr explained that she attempted to resolve the crisis through artist Mostafa Kamel, the head of Egypt's Musicians' Syndicate, requesting his intervention to help recover her financial rights and end the conflict with the distributor. According to her narrative, Kamel informed her that Fahad does not belong to any musical syndicate or institution in either Egypt or Kuwait, which limited his ability to intervene in the matter.
Nasr expressed dissatisfaction with the stalled efforts to solve the problem, emphasizing that she is an active member of the Musicians' Syndicate. She affirmed that she would not waive her financial rights nor accept pressure to pay additional sums, as she described it.
Broader Claims Against Distributor
The Egyptian singer stressed her determination to continue pursuing the recovery of her money, rejecting any resolution that did not include obtaining her rights. She also alleged that other female artists have faced similar situations with the same distributor.
These developments occur within the context of an artistic and financial dispute between the two parties. The published post did not include a response from distributor Fahad regarding the accusations leveled against him by Marwa Nasr.
