Prince Harry is preparing for a visit to the United Kingdom in July, but uncertainties remain regarding the security arrangements and whether his family will accompany him. Meghan Markle, Prince Archie, and Princess Lilibet might join the trip if the security provisions meet the expectations of Harry’s team. A recent report highlighted skepticism from a former royal security expert who dismissed some of the claims as “nonsense,” shifting the focus to concerns about risk management, procedural matters, and palace dynamics.

Former Royal Security Expert Challenges Harry’s Security Assertions

An Express report indicated that Prince Harry’s arrival in Britain is scheduled for July, but the ongoing dispute over his protection continues, particularly after reports suggested that police security had been declined. TalkTV presenter Mark Dolan cited a veteran royal security insider, stating, “I spoke to somebody who was intimately involved in royal security for decades.” According to Dolan, this source described the situation as “all nonsense” and attributed it to “politics” rather than genuine security concerns.

Dolan further relayed that the insider perceived the dispute as Harry asserting influence within the royal family. Although the decision by RAVEC was reportedly on hold, police liaison remained active. The insider confirmed that Harry and Markle’s security team maintained communication with police and asserted that Harry would be safe while in the UK. These remarks contradicted Harry’s previous statement that Britain was “too dangerous” for his family. The Express also reported that no official guidance from the Palace had been issued regarding claims about royal residences.

Harry’s spokesperson responded by emphasizing that the security issues surrounding the UK visit extended beyond accommodation. The statement outlined that Harry’s itinerary included “public and private engagements” throughout the country and noted, “Safe accommodation is only one element” of a comprehensive security strategy. The spokesperson added, “risk follows the person, not the place,” and insisted that “the issue has never been accommodation.” Instead, the focus was on ensuring “appropriate and proportionate protective security.” Harry’s team is reportedly considering “every available option” to “proceed safely” and enable his children to “enjoy the UK.” A government spokesperson described the security system as “rigorous and proportionate.”
