Reports indicate that Prince William is encountering opposition from farmers due to his intention to sell one-fifth of the Duchy of Cornwall’s estate. The Prince of Wales is said to plan the sale of approximately 20 percent of the Duchy of Cornwall’s holdings at Bradninch in Devon, including cottages, farmland, allotments, wetlands, and community facilities. A source revealed to RadarOnline that this decision has sparked friction between Prince William and the farming community.

According to the insider, while some tenants may be able to buy their land, many farmers face challenges. “Farming margins are already incredibly tight, borrowing costs remain high, and many rural businesses are facing significant financial pressures,” the source explained. They added that not everyone can afford to purchase hundreds of acres of land.
