Tunisian Lawyer Arrested in Nabeul Drug Network Raid

Security forces in Tunisia conducted a raid on a residential building in Nabeul, uncovering an operational hub for a drug trafficking network. The site had been used for preparing, storing, and cutting narcotics, with the residential neighborhood serving as cover for distribution activities.

The operation followed precise intelligence-gathering efforts by Tunisian security units. Those investigations confirmed that a high-risk drug dealer was exploiting the residential address for narcotics-related operations.

Arrests and Seized Evidence

After completing judicial coordination procedures, security forces stormed the location. Authorities apprehended the network’s principal dealer along with three suspects caught in the act—including a prominent lawyer.

Officers secured quantities of sedative tablets and Indian hemp (cannabis), as well as weighing instruments and equipment used to prepare drugs for sale.

Judicial Measures and Ongoing Investigation

Following referral to judicial authorities, the investigating judge at the Nabeul Court of First Instance ordered pre-trial detention warrants for all members of the network.

The case file was transferred to the Central Anti-Drug Brigade in Ben Arous to expand the investigation and identify all extensions of the criminal activity.
