A blood-stained tricycle exposed a brutal homicide committed by a wife and her mother against a man in his fourth decade of life. The suspects killed the victim following domestic disputes before attempting to conceal the body and erase evidence of the crime.

Discovery in agricultural zone

The incident occurred in Abu al-Ghaith village within Qalyubia Governorate’s Qanater al-Khayriya district. Residents reported finding the deceased inside an agricultural area on the island. Investigators responded to the scene after receiving notification regarding the body of a young man identified as Mohamed S.K.

Initial examinations revealed signs of strangulation and multiple stab wounds across the body, indicating criminal involvement. Preliminary inquiries traced the motive to escalating marital conflicts that turned into physical altercations between the victim and his spouse. The suspect’s mother intervened during the fight, assisting her daughter in choking the man and inflicting fatal knife injuries.

Attempted disposal via tricycle

After the killing, the two women placed the corpse inside a large sack to hide it. They hired a tricycle driver to transport waste and miscellaneous items to a nearby agricultural site for disposal. The driver remained unaware that the load contained human remains.

Suspicion arose when the driver noticed blood traces on the tricycle while unloading the cargo. He inspected the contents and discovered the body among the refuse. Panic set in, prompting him to call for help, which led security forces to investigate and uncover the full details of the case.

Arrests and judicial proceedings

Security units detained the wife and her mother following procedural verification. During interrogation, both suspects confessed to committing the murder, aligning with findings from the investigation. Authorities drafted an official report on the incident.

The Public Prosecution assumed control of the inquiry. The prosecutor ordered the detention of the two accused pending further investigation and authorized the burial of the victim after forensic autopsy procedures were completed.
