Al-Hilal came from behind to beat Al-Kholood 2-1 in the King's Cup final, securing their 10th title in the competition.
Al-Hilal lifted the King's Cup for the 2025-2026 season on Friday, defeating Al-Kholood 2-1 at Al-Inmaa Stadium in Jeddah. The victory marks the club's 10th title in the tournament's history, while Al-Kholood fell short in their first-ever final appearance.
The match began with a shock for Al-Hilal. Just four minutes in, Al-Kholood's Argentine forward Romero Enrique fired a powerful shot past goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, putting his team ahead 1-0.
Al-Hilal quickly regained their composure and took control of the game. Despite sustained pressure, Al-Kholood's defense held firm until the 42nd minute, when Nasser Al-Dosari equalized for the Riyadh giants.
Moments before the halftime whistle, Al-Hilal continued their offensive push. French full-back Theo Hernandez struck the team's second goal, giving his side a 2-1 lead heading into the break.
In the second half, Al-Kholood, led by Enrique, attempted to replicate their first-half comeback. However, the team managed by Italian coach Simone Inzaghi successfully controlled the tempo and preserved their advantage until the final whistle.
