Al-Hilal team achieved a valuable victory over its host Al-Khaleej with two goals to one, in the postponed match from the twenty-eighth round of the Saudi Roshn League, which was held at Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam. The match was postponed due to Al-Hilal's participation in the AFC Champions League Elite.

With this victory, Al-Hilal raised its points to 77 in second place, with a difference of only two points from the leader Al-Nasr, while Al-Khaleej's points froze at 37 in eleventh place.

Al-Khaleej's advance and Al-Hilal's comeback

Al-Khaleej started the match strongly and succeeded in shaking Al-Hilal's net early, as player King scored the first goal in the eleventh minute. But Al-Hilal did not delay in responding, and equalized through its player Savic in the thirty-fourth minute.

Al-Hilal's pressure continued in the second half until Sultan Mandash managed to score the deadly winning goal in the seventy-ninth minute, granting his team three precious points in the race for the title.

Al-Hilal's historical superiority

This victory reinforces Al-Hilal's historical superiority over Al-Khaleej in the Professional League.
