Barcelona coach Hansi Flick received tragic news hours before the crucial La Liga match against Real Madrid.

Just hours before the kickoff of the highly anticipated El Clasico at Spotify Camp Nou, Barcelona coach Hansi Flick has been struck by a personal tragedy. The club confirmed the death of Flick’s father, expressing their full support for the German manager during this difficult time.
In an official statement released across its channels, Barcelona said: “The club and the entire Blaugrana family express their condolences to Hansi Flick on the death of his father. We share your pain and stand by you in this very difficult moment for you and your family.”
Saturday’s match, corresponding to La Liga’s 35th round, carries enormous weight at the top of the table. Barcelona currently lead the standings with 88 points, while Real Madrid sit in second place with 77 points. A win or a draw for the home side would be enough to mathematically secure the league title.
Earlier in the day, Barcelona announced Flick’s squad selection for the clash. The lineup notably excludes Lamine Yamal and Andreas Christensen due to injury. However, the team has been bolstered by the return of French defender Jules Koundé, who has completed his suspension.
