Real Madrid players have identified the teammate they believe leaked details of a training-ground altercation to the media, according to Spanish press reports. The accusation lands just days before Sunday’s Clásico against Barcelona, a match that could decide the La Liga title race.

Fede Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni were involved in a physical confrontation, with the club later confirming Valverde suffered a concussion. The club has opened disciplinary proceedings over the incident. According to Spanish media, the two players traded accusations during the fight, each blaming the other for leaking team news to journalists.

Newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported that the squad has now identified the player they believe is responsible for the leak: Brazilian winger Vinicius Junior. The report states that Vinicius’s relationship with the club’s management has become strained due to stalled contract renewal talks. His current deal runs until the summer of 2027.

The report also claims Vinicius has received approaches from Manchester City regarding a potential summer transfer.

Real Madrid currently sit second in La Liga, 11 points behind leaders Barcelona. Barça need just one point from Sunday’s match to officially clinch the league title.
