Meta has introduced Pocket, a new app enabling users to create and share interactive AI-driven mini-games using text commands.

Meta is expanding its use of artificial intelligence by entering the interactive gaming sector through a new application called Pocket. This app allows users to design and create miniature games and interactive experiences by inputting text commands.
The development of Pocket follows Meta’s acquisition earlier this year of the team behind Gizmo, a platform specializing in AI-based game creation.
According to a report by the technology news site TechCrunch, Pocket positions itself as a platform for creating and sharing "Gizmos," which are small interactive games and experiences generated through AI interpretation of written commands. The app also features a feed where users can explore and engage with creations made by others.
Screenshots available on the Google Play Store reveal that Pocket’s design and functionality closely resemble those of the Gizmo app, which remains available on the store. Both applications enable interactive content creation via text instructions and include dedicated pages for discovering user-shared experiences.
Data from Appfigures, a company analyzing app performance, shows that Pocket first appeared on the App Store and Google Play on June 29, 2026. However, its recent launch means there is not yet data on download numbers or user adoption rates.
Pocket is part of a broader Meta strategy to integrate AI tools across its product range. Previously, Meta introduced AI-powered image generation through the Meta AI app, video creation via the Vibes app, and incorporated AI technologies into its social platforms and the Edits app for video editing.
Appfigures data indicates that Gizmo has been downloaded approximately 635,000 times across iOS and Android, with a positive satisfaction rate of 98%. This performance could provide Pocket with a strong foundation if it is widely released.
Despite its availability on app stores, Meta has not officially announced Pocket’s launch, suggesting it remains in early testing phases. The company has also not disclosed any official release schedule or targeted markets, according to TechCrunch.
