A fresh leak offers a clearer view of the iPhone Ultra’s foldable design, expected to debut alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models in September.

A new prototype of Apple’s first foldable phone, the iPhone Ultra, has surfaced in leaked images that provide a more detailed look at the device’s design before its anticipated official unveiling in September. The phone appears in black and closely matches earlier leaks about Apple’s initial foldable model.
The images reveal a design wider than traditional iPhones when unfolded, featuring a compact frame with thickness comparable to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. This design aims to offer users an experience similar to using a small tablet.
According to the leak, the iPhone Ultra resembles an iPad Mini when held vertically. It includes both an external screen and an internal foldable display. The phone is equipped with two front cameras: one embedded in the external screen and another within the foldable internal screen.
The rear of the device features two cameras housed in a horizontal oval module, accompanied by an LED flash and a microphone. Below the power button is a Camera Control button, while volume controls are positioned on the top edge. The bottom edge contains a USB Type-C port flanked by two external speakers.
Leaks suggest the iPhone Ultra will be powered by an A20 Pro processor and include 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Its external display is reported to measure 5.3 inches, with the foldable internal screen spanning 7.8 inches.
The phone is expected to feature dual rear cameras, each with a 48-megapixel resolution, and incorporate Apple’s newly developed C2 modem. The iPhone Ultra is anticipated to launch alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max at Apple’s upcoming event in September.
