After the Boycott... The White House Launches 'Trump TV'

The White House launched a new streaming platform named "Trump TV" as tensions grew between President Donald Trump and major media outlets, with television networks suspending coverage of presidential events.

The White House announced on its account on the platform "X" the start of broadcasting on the new channel, stating: "Broadcast has begun! Trump TV is live 24/7 with real-time updates, bringing together in one place the most important moments from the past, announcements, and the latest and most significant releases from the administration."

Meanwhile, the White House stated that "not all key moments have reached television screens, and now you can see them all in one place," explaining that the new platform will deliver highlights from the Trump administration, videos, major statements, and continuously updated content.

The new broadcast began with footage from previous Trump events, along with content from administration activities, while the White House described the platform as a way to gather the administration's most important materials in one place and keep them continuously updated.

The launch coincided with an escalating crisis between President Donald Trump and several media institutions after his administration barred CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from entering the White House—organizations that have filed lawsuits challenging the ban.

In response, four major American networks—ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox News—decided not to take over joint coverage duties previously assigned to the CNN team covering Trump’s activities, leading to the suspension of joint television coverage of presidential events.

Amid this backdrop, Trump appeared at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new White House helipad, marking the first presidential event held without joint television coverage by major American networks. The White House platforms broadcast the ceremony, but viewers could not clearly hear Trump’s remarks during parts of the event due to helicopter noise.

Subsequently, Trump returned to attacking the media, accusing some of providing negative coverage and downplaying his achievements. He said some media outlets "only write negatively, violate our national security by spreading false and defamatory stories based on anonymous sources, and should not be allowed access to the most important office in any place in the world," adding that his administration would appeal if a ruling goes against it in the case.
