Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated that the ongoing events in the Strait of Hormuz clearly demonstrate that there is no military solution to a political crisis, warning the United States against being dragged into a quagmire.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said early Tuesday morning that the ongoing events in the Strait of Hormuz clearly show that "there is no military solution to a political crisis," as he put it.
Araqchi, in a post on the "X" platform, called on the United States to be cautious about being dragged once again into the quagmire, at a time when talks are making progress thanks to Pakistan's efforts.
The Iranian Foreign Minister considered that the "freedom" project is a "deadlock" project, in his words, apparently referring to the "Maritime Freedom Building" project announced by the United States to support securing navigation efforts in the strait.
This came hours after renewed Iranian attacks on civilian sites and facilities in the UAE, which the Foreign Ministry described in a statement as "treacherous terrorist" attacks, using missiles and drones, resulting in the injury of 3 people of Indian nationality.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that these attacks represent a dangerous escalation and an unacceptable violation, and a direct threat to the state's security, stability, and territorial integrity, contradicting the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter.
The UAE stressed that it will not tolerate any infringement on its security and sovereignty under any circumstances, and that it reserves its full and legitimate right to respond to these attacks, in a manner that ensures the protection of its sovereignty, national security, territorial integrity, citizens, residents, and visitors, in accordance with international law.
The UAE affirmed that targeting civilians and civilian objects is condemned and rejected by all legal and humanitarian standards, stressing the need to immediately stop these treacherous attacks, ensuring full commitment to ceasing all hostilities, holding Iran fully responsible for these treacherous attacks and their repercussions.
