"Brace for What's Coming": White House Reacts to Midterm Election Results
The White House issued its first comment on midterm election results showing a significant Democratic lead, describing the atmosphere as challenging while warning Republicans to brace for what is coming.

First comment from the White House on the results of the midterm elections which showed a significant advance for the Democrats.
A White House official told Agence France-Presse that the atmosphere at the US presidential residence is characterized by "challenge" despite early victories achieved by the Democrats on Tuesday in the midterm elections, which represents a blow to President Donald Trump.
The official, who requested anonymity, stated, "The atmosphere in the White House is characterized by challenge," noting that Trump will stop the "far left" regardless of the results.
The official warned saying, "Brace for what's coming."
Preliminary results showed the Democratic Party winning a majority of the 435 seats in the US House of Representatives.
According to the American CNN network, this victory will undermine the Republicans' grip on Washington and lead to two years of confrontation with President Donald Trump.
According to preliminary results, Democrats secured 244 seats and Republicans 191 seats in the House of Representatives, while in the Senate, Democrats won 46 seats and Republicans won 38 seats as of 3:00 GMT.
Candidates are competing for the 435 seats in the House of Representatives, 35 out of 100 seats in the Senate, in addition to governorships in 36 states.
However, despite this, clear indicators regarding the new balance of power in Washington may take time to emerge.
The loss of Republican dominance in the House of Representatives would grant Democrats the ability to disrupt Trump's legislative agenda and launch wide-ranging investigations into his administration.
As for their defeat in the Senate, it would undermine his ability to appoint Supreme Court justices and senior officials.
About 59 million people cast their votes before Election Day.
The election campaign attracted spending exceeding $11 billion on political advertisements, while billionaire Elon Musk, a close ally of Trump, pumped hundreds of millions of dollars to support Republican political efforts.
