Clashes Reported Between Iranian Revolutionary Guard and US Military in Strait of Hormuz and Gulf
Iranian sources report ongoing clashes between the Revolutionary Guard and US forces in the Strait of Hormuz and Gulf waters.

Early Thursday, official Iranian sources reported ongoing clashes between the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and United States military forces in the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf region.
The Mehr news agency cited informed Iranian sources stating that confrontations between Iranian forces and the US military continue in the waters of the Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
Meanwhile, Iranian state television quoted a military official who announced that a cruise missile was intercepted in the city of Asaluyeh, located in the southern province of Bushehr.
The military source added that there has been no confirmation so far about any targeting of the oil refinery area in Asaluyeh.
In a related development, the Revolutionary Guard reported that an F-16 fighter jet violated Iranian airspace, prompting its air defense system to launch a missile toward the aircraft, which then withdrew and left the area.
Additionally, the Iranian "Khabar" channel reported that the Revolutionary Guard targeted a US warship in the Strait of Hormuz with a cruise missile.
On the US side, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced early Thursday that its forces commenced additional defensive strikes against multiple targets in Iran at 5:15 p.m. Eastern Time.
CENTCOM stated via the X platform that these strikes were conducted under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and were in response to ongoing and unjustified Iranian aggression.
