Egyptian Foreign Minister Discusses Iran Negotiations with Saudi Counterpart
Egypt's Foreign Minister and Saudi Foreign Minister discussed Iran negotiations, regional security, and the situation in Sudan during a phone call.

Egypt's Foreign Ministry stated that Minister Badr Abdel-Aati held a phone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan to discuss the rapidly evolving developments in the region, focusing primarily on the Iranian crisis and its impact on regional security and stability, as well as the situation in Sudan.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry indicated that the call addressed updates on the US-Iran negotiations and the diplomatic efforts underway to reach a consensual settlement that considers the concerns of all parties and Gulf countries, aiming to strengthen regional security and stability.
During the discussion, both ministers also examined the developments of the crisis in Sudan. The Egyptian Foreign Minister reaffirmed his country's firm position supporting Sudan's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, emphasizing the necessity of preserving Sudan's national state institutions as the fundamental basis for restoring security and stability, while rejecting any parallel entities.
He further stressed the importance of achieving a humanitarian truce as a precursor to a sustainable ceasefire, ensuring the delivery of humanitarian aid, and backing a comprehensive political process led and managed solely by Sudanese authorities, which would restore security and stability and meet the aspirations of the Sudanese people.
