For the First Time Since Elections, Opposition Bloc Against Netanyahu to Meet Tuesday
Israeli opposition leaders will meet Tuesday to secure a majority following last week's inconclusive elections, according to Gadi Eisenkot's party.

Leaders of Israel's main opposition bloc will meet on Tuesday in an attempt to secure a majority following the legislative elections held last week, according to an announcement made Monday by the party of bloc leader Gadi Eisenkot.
The "Yashar" party said in a statement that "leaders of the Change Bloc (...) will meet in Herzliya, northwest of the country, to discuss and coordinate next steps."
This is their first meeting since the October 27 vote, which resulted in no clear majority for either outgoing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition or the opposition camp led by Eisenkot.
Hebrew media reported on Sunday that Avigdor Lieberman, leader of the "Israel Beiteinu" party, set a new condition for agreeing to join Eisenkot's government, which would be supported by Arab parties: Lieberman would serve as prime minister during the first rotation period, with Eisenkot taking over in the second.
Eisenkot's alliance won 48 seats in the Knesset, while Arab parties secured 19 seats, bringing the total opposition camp count to 67 seats.
