Iranian Delegation Led by Qalibaf Heads to Switzerland to Monitor US Commitments
An Iranian delegation led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has departed for Switzerland to oversee Washington's adherence to the recent memorandum of understanding.

Iranian media have disclosed the composition of the Iranian delegation traveling to Switzerland to oversee the implementation of Washington's commitments under the latest memorandum of understanding. The delegation is headed by the Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.
The group includes Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Deputy for International Affairs at the Secretariat of the Supreme National Security Council Ali Bagheri Kani, and Central Bank Governor Abdolnaser Hemmati, according to the Iranian news agency ISNA.
Additionally, the delegation comprises Deputy Oil Minister and head of the National Iranian Oil Company Hamid Bord, Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi, and the Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghai.
In a related development, the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that the delegation has departed for Switzerland to monitor the counterpart's fulfillment of obligations under the memorandum of understanding. The ministry emphasized that the first clause of the memorandum is a top priority for Tehran.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry underscored the necessity for the United States to expedite the implementation of the memorandum's provisions, warning that failure to comply with the agreed commitments would lead to problems.
The ministry affirmed that Iran did not sign an understanding without the intention of execution, highlighting that Tehran's approach is based on the principle of “commitment for commitment” and that Iran has fully met all its obligations.
Furthermore, the Foreign Ministry stated that the United States must compel Israel to cease its attacks on Lebanon, considering that the fulfillment of mutual commitments is fundamental to maintaining existing understandings.
