Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi addressed President Trump's remarks about a potential meeting with Mojtaba Khamenei, emphasizing the realities of the Iranian leadership's role.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi responded early Friday to U.S. President Donald Trump's statement regarding his willingness to meet with Mojtaba Khamenei, the Iranian leader's son.
Trump had stated that he is not actively seeking a meeting with Mojtaba Khamenei but indicated that such a meeting could occur if an agreement with Iran is reached.
In his comments, Araghchi said, "In my opinion, we must be realistic and think and live in the real world." He added, "Mojtaba is currently the leader of the regime and has a close and highly influential presence in the country's developments."
Araghchi affirmed that Mojtaba "holds full control of affairs and, due to security considerations, the security apparatus recommends limiting his public appearances," according to his statement.
The foreign minister further explained that communication with Mojtaba Khamenei continues, emphasizing that his directives are delivered promptly to the regime's institutions and are strictly followed by all, as he described.
Araghchi also clarified the reasons behind Mojtaba Khamenei's absence from public appearances.
