Israel Completes Offensive Plans Targeting Iranian Infrastructure

The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that the Israeli military has completed comprehensive offensive plans aimed at Iran’s infrastructure, in preparation for a possible new military confrontation with Tehran or in case Israel faces a direct attack.

According to an Israeli security source cited by the newspaper, the military "has finished its offensive plans" and would be capable of striking targets that were not hit in previous rounds of conflict if the political leadership decides to escalate.

The report detailed that the list of potential targets includes Iranian oil and gas facilities, primarily Kharg Island, as well as power plants, industrial sites, and transportation networks. This strategy aims to increase pressure on Iran’s economy.

The source added that these targets were considered during earlier confrontations, but a joint American-Israeli decision prevented their targeting at that time.

Despite the military readiness, Maariv noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu currently prefers to avoid renewed escalation between the United States and Iran, while keeping military options open should the situation evolve.

The report also highlighted that the presence of thousands of American troops and a significant air force within Israel is a key factor in any potential escalation scenario.
