French President Macron told Iran's Pezeshkian he is concerned about unjustified attacks on civilian infrastructure in the UAE and on ships.

French President Emmanuel Macron conveyed his concerns to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian during a phone call on Wednesday, specifically about what he termed unjustified strikes on civilian infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates and on vessels. The call came a day after Macron announced he would speak with Pezeshkian amid his calls to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Macron reiterated the need for all involved parties to lift the blockade on the Strait of Hormuz. He stated that he urged Pezeshkian to seize the opportunity presented by the multinational mission proposed by France and Britain concerning the strait.
The French leader also expressed hope that the issue would be discussed with US President Donald Trump. Speaking at a press conference in the Armenian capital Yerevan on Tuesday, Macron had said, "I will speak with the Iranian president shortly."
