Pakistani PM Says US-Iran MoU Does Not Address Ballistic Missiles

On Tuesday, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif asserted that double standards should not be applied regarding ballistic missiles, affirming that Iran holds the same right to possess them as other countries do.

He added that ballistic missiles were not mentioned in the memorandum of understanding signed between Iran and the United States because the issue was not raised during those discussions, according to Reuters.

Sharif also pointed out that some parties are attempting to obstruct stability efforts, stating that there are "many spoilers who do not want Iran to come out of the war."

These remarks were made during a meeting with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who arrived in Islamabad on an official visit.
