Qatar's Prime Minister Confirms Strait of Hormuz Remains Open
Qatar's Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani confirmed the Strait of Hormuz is still open and navigation is expected to normalize within 30 days.

Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, stated on Wednesday that the Strait of Hormuz remains open. He indicated that Doha has received assurances that no orders have been issued to close the strait.
In an interview with the Financial Times, the Qatari Prime Minister added that maritime traffic through the strait is expected to return to normal levels within 30 days following the implementation of the agreement.
He emphasized the necessity of establishing a direct communication line between Washington and Tehran to prevent any obstruction to the process of reopening the strait.
Regarding the resumption of gas production, Al Thani revealed that Qatar's liquefied natural gas (LNG) output will return to normal within a few weeks.
QatarEnergy had suspended LNG production after the US-Israeli attack on Iran on February 28, which targeted the massive Ras Laffan facility with a drone strike.
Additionally, four South Korean ships have departed from the Strait of Hormuz.
