Rubio Reveals Washington's Stance on Dialogue with Iran

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Tuesday the United States is open to dialogue with Iranians at the United Nations General Assembly, but no meeting is currently scheduled.

He said on NBC News' (Today) program, "We are open to that... I don't think there's anything scheduled at this time, but we are certainly open to such an approach, especially if it leads to a positive outcome and achieves the desired goal in the end."

He added, "And that goal is that Iran must never be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon... Simply put, it cannot happen."
