Damage reported in Solomiansky and Holosiivskyi districts

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko stated that debris from one drone fell in the Solomiansky district among residential buildings, triggering a fire at a site belonging to a transport company.

In the Holosiivskyi district, a fuel station and several warehouses sustained damage from the same wave of attacks. Authorities have not yet fully assessed the scale of losses or destruction.

Zelenskyy had warned of large-scale Russian assault the same day

The drone strikes occurred on the same day Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a warning about the possibility of a large-scale Russian attack on Kyiv, citing intelligence information.

Resource constraints hamper air defense and shelter construction

On 11 September, Klitschko announced that Kyiv city authorities lack the resources to build shelters at all fuel stations, coinciding with shortages of weapons needed to intercept Russian drones and missiles.
