In the Holosiivskyi district, a fuel station and several warehouses sustained damage from the same wave of attacks. Authorities have not yet fully assessed the scale of losses or destruction.
The drone strikes occurred on the same day Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a warning about the possibility of a large-scale Russian attack on Kyiv, citing intelligence information.
On 11 September, Klitschko announced that Kyiv city authorities lack the resources to build shelters at all fuel stations, coinciding with shortages of weapons needed to intercept Russian drones and missiles.
Over recent weeks, Russia has adopted a new tactic involving extended drone operations lasting several hours above Kyiv — repeatedly forcing residents into shelters both day and night amid heightened tension in the Ukrainian capital.
