Switzerland has declared its readiness to host a potential signing ceremony for a US-Iran memorandum of understanding amid ongoing diplomatic efforts.

The Swiss Foreign Ministry announced on Friday that Switzerland is prepared to host a possible signing ceremony for a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.
In a statement to Agence France-Presse, the ministry confirmed that Swiss diplomacy is fully mobilized and maintains close and continuous contacts with both Washington and Tehran to arrange this anticipated step.
The ministry further explained that it is actively acting as a mediator to support efforts aimed at a memorandum of understanding designed to strengthen the ceasefire and pave the way for de-escalation within the conflict between Iran and the United States.
Switzerland also proposed itself as the potential location for the signing, contingent upon agreement by the involved parties.
Meanwhile, Iranian media reported that Pakistani Foreign Minister Shahbaz Sharif is scheduled to travel to Geneva, Switzerland, tonight as part of Pakistan's ongoing diplomatic mediation efforts between the US and Iran.
The official Iranian news agency IRNA stated that this visit aims to advance the ongoing negotiations between the two sides, coinciding with increasing international indications of an imminent agreement or memorandum of understanding between Washington and Tehran.
On Friday, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif announced that the final text of the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran had been agreed upon.
Geneva previously hosted an indirect session of talks between Iran and the United States at the end of February, shortly before the commencement of US strikes on Iran.
