Trump: Iran Part of Election Result; Not Regretful
Donald Trump stated that Iran influenced the election results favoring Democrats but expressed no regret over his actions toward Tehran.

US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that "Iran formed part of the election result" which led to a clear victory for the Democratic Party, while affirming that he is "not regretful about launching war on Tehran."
Trump justified the Democrats' "historic win" in the elections by stating that Americans are "not ready to bear the consequences of the Iran war."
In contrast, Trump praised the Democrats' performance during the elections, noting that they "did a good job."
Trump said in a phone interview conducted by Fox News channel: "I think it's partly due to Iran, but at the same time, people realize the importance of what I did regarding Iran."
The US president expressed willingness to work with Democrats on immigration, adding that he can also work with them "on many issues."
Trump said that Democrats will send him legislation he described as "crazy," adding that he would use his veto power against it.
He added, "They will send me things that don't make sense, and I will veto them. After two months of using the veto, they will call me and ask: How do we get this done? And we will work together."
Earlier, Trump had confirmed that he would accept the results of the midterm elections, telling The New York Times newspaper, "I am fully prepared to accept those results. We will work with the Democrats, and look forward, as you know, to cooperating with them. We will likely reach understandings."
Democrats are moving to seize control of the US Congress in the midterm elections after securing majorities in both the Senate and House of Representatives, turning Tuesday's vote into a harsh defeat for Trump and his Republican Party.
CNN and CNBC networks reported that Democrats have secured majorities in both the House and Senate, gaining the upper hand in obstructing Trump's legislative agenda and initiating investigations against his officials, which they had promised early on.
The elections are considered a popular referendum on Trump's second term, especially amid voter dissatisfaction with rising living costs, tariffs, and the ongoing war on Iran, which contributed to higher fuel prices, causing the president's approval ratings to drop to historic lows.
